A university tour is a valuable opportunity for prospective students to explore the campus, learn about the academic programs, meet with faculty members, and get a feel for the overall atmosphere of the school. You may be a bit confused though on what you can gain from attending a tour and what type of information may be available during it! Here is what you can expect when attending our tours.

1. Where are tours held?

Both our Downtown Oshawa and North Oshawa campus locations have many unique buildings and student spaces.Tour guides do their best to make sure that your tour accommodates your interests and major to ensure you get the most out of your trip! Tours also take place both inside and outside of campus so make sure you dress accordingly!

2. What are the different types of tours?

Everyone is different and one type of tour may not be ideal for every person.  We have a couple of different options available, so choose the one that’s best for you! Not everyone is able to make the trip to campus for a variety of different reasons and that's okay! If this is the case then why not check out our self guided virtual tour? This allows you to explore campus from the comfort of your own home at your own pace and you can check it out as many times as you'd like. We also have our in-person guided tours, which allow you to explore campus with the help of a tour guide. These tours let you get a bit more up close and personal with campus and ask all of your burning questions at the same time! 

3. What are the perks of attending a tour?

I know you might be thinking that tours are just a walk around campus, but I promise you it's so much more than that! You get a chance to ask questions about life at Ontario Tech, learn your way around, speak to staff and students and so much more. You also get a chance to see what the community is really like and how you'll fit in! You'll get to see how students and staff interact on campus, where all the best study and hang-out spots are, potentially make new friends and more, all just by attending a tour!
